# Spitfire legato instrument doesn't honor the type of legato selected

Some Spitfire Kontakt instruments feature different types of Legato but don't allow you to switch the type with an Articulation Template.

Let's take the Studio Strings > Legato techniques > Violin 1 as an example:

As you can see, the icons representing both Legato techniques but show an arrow in the left upper corner. This arrow indicates that the technique is controlled in a special way. In this case, it's a velocity range.

To change that, Opt-Click on the arrow (which will remove it)

After removing the arrows, you can select different Legato techniques with Art Conductor templates.

Don't forget to switch the instrument to UACC KS
{% endhint %}
