# Dorico Playback Techniques don't result in sound change

Here's an example: If an expression map contains both "Tremolo Slow" and "Tremolo Fast" but no "Tremolo", Dorico will not automatically select "Tremolo Slow" or "Tremolo Fast" when you set a Tremolo marking in the score. You need to specify if you want to use the Slow or Fast articulation in this case. 

We attempt to set as many defaults as possible to avoid above situation but there are some edge cases where it would be impractice to make this decision for you.
