# Hide Articulations in Dorico

In some situations it's beneficial to hide playing techniques in the score. Especially when the purpose of those techniques is to make the score sound more authentic in Dorico's playback.

*To hide a playing technique in Dorico, select the playing technique and activate the `Hidden` property in the Properties panel. If you want to see hidden playing techniques to unhide them, ensure signposts are visible by going to `View > Signposts > Playing Techniques`. You can also set a custom key command for hiding/showing items like playing techniques for quick access. To Hide a Playing Technique*

1. ***Select**: the playing technique in Write or Engrave mode.*
2. ***Open**: the Properties panel (if it's not already open).*
3. ***Find**: the playing technique group and activate the `Hidden` property by checking the corresponding box.*
